In the 6th episode of “Atlanta,” Darius (Lakeith Stanfield) goes out of his way to pick up a “free” multi-color key piano from a man named Teddy Perkins (himself). Similar to Michael Jackson, Teddy has bleached white skin, speaks in a delicate, high voice and dons straight black hair. Darius highlights the oddity of Teddy’s bleached skin to his friends over the phone, comparing him to Sammy Sosa.
